Date: 2010-07-28 04:19 pm (UTC)i think the criminal aspect comes into play when the said 'person(s)' do not take any legal course of action to legit-ly provide for their families. like my great grandfather did. he left Czechoslovakia, because of 'criminal' as you put it above, BUT became a legal American to provide for his family.
he did not, illegally sneak into the country, skirt the tax and immigration laws and then send the money back home. that's why i think soooo many people have a problem with the illegals now. most of them aren't trying to become legal, they are just cheating the system, making it semi-harder on everyone else.
