Texts in the Night
Mar. 2nd, 2010 11:21 amShe says, "I want your kiss on my neck. I want your hands to pace my body. I want your weight to crush me. I want your love."
He says, "I want to be the cartographer for the hills and valleys of your land."
She says, "Don't stop there."
He says, "I run my anatomy across an undiscovered country."
She says, "I consumed a harbored ship begging to be fed and cared for."
He says, "Wreck your ship against my jagged shore."
She says, "Crush my hull against a sweet pain and gasp with every passing wave."
He says, "Monolithic stones weigh impassive against screaming passionate sacrifices. Poetry spilled against winsdswept canvas."
He says, "Call my name against the clouds. Whisper my name against the ground. Sigh my name against our memories."
She says, "I know that name from a familiar time. It has blessed these lips once before and it shall bless them agains as the hand passes the hour of greeting."
He says, "Set your soul on fire and drive it against mine. Be drawn awake and uneasy to sleep a welcome to this curse."
She says, "with open arms I shall not fear a curse that has saved me from a lonesome universe. My planet now has a moon. Love is held at the threshold of open lips."
He says, "Spill this blood against paper. Ruin this soul against less than gentle gravities. Spin your beautiful moments against god's orbits."
She says, "A soul cannot be ruined by the purest of airs. I will be the burden you carry with dignified demeaner. I will be the laugh you use to hide. I am yours."
He says, "Careful with these ruined mouths that spit gentle triumphs against a world turned reckless. Who paints our little souls against these tarnished walls?"
She says, "Onlt reckless souls must be mindful of a reckless world. Can we not paint our own? Can we not form something grand without the decree of another?"
He says, "And what will I have done? I can't breathe against you. Maybe we can run against this painful melody."
She says, "Maybe we can play inside our minds and smile to a tune we've played many times."
He says, "I shiver against your touch. MAybe tomorrow we run. Run away. Through beautiful and wonderful gardens."
She says, "I cannot mind. For running away with you isn't running away at all. It's simply following my heart. A trick I've known all of my life."
He says, "Run as far as you want. I'll be here regardless."
She says, "Wouldn't have it any other way."
He says, "I am more than you bargained for."
She says, "I can handle you, and anything you throw at me."
He says, "You sure, These are the final words of girls I once found under me."
She says, "Those girls aren't me. As much as those words are tired, so is thinking you're the worst man to walk these streets."
He says, "I'm a beautiful monster. Gonna dance with me as storms come closing in?"
She says, "I'm a storm of my own.You just don't know it yet. I am addictive and dangerous; taste, enjoy or run."
He says, "Storms? The last storm had me screaming for death. Sure you're a storm?"
She says, "Oh I'm not a dimwitted little girl with emotional problems. I'm a different breed. I'll dance in a storm with you."
He says, "If I am cut open in front of you, what will you do?"
She says, "I put you back together and lick your wounds."
He says, "Sew me up and sew me tight. These sutures bind us together."
She says, "Treat me well and I'll heal all wounds to come."
He says, "I won't lose you, you aren't mine."
She says, "Who's then?"
He says, "A love I need painfully; to be said hard against you."
She says, "I am nothing but listening."
He says, "Say it again before me."
She says, "I'm sure to. And you're wrong. I was yours from the start."
He says, "Come to me and you have this."
