Pink eye is a bitch. It's hard for me to stare at a screen, so typing is a serious chore.

That being said, I think I just managed to crank out almost a thousand words in about an hour, so I think that's a good speed to do this on.

Here's hoping I can pound out a few thousand words this weekend, or it's just not gonna happen.

Strangely enough, I write most prolifically if I'm suffering from a high fever, or I'm drunk. So there's that. Maybe I can do both at once?

So, for one thing, you can totally bust out even if this weekend fails. I finished last year in 17 days. You just need a couple of awesome days and I know you're capable of it.

Also, I really recommend the sprint chat rooms on AIM. Basically one person keeps time (sometimes it's me!) and then you all concentrate as hard as you can and type as much as you can for a set time (usually 10 or 15 minutes). When you absolutely focus like that, you can get a couple hundred words knocked out in one sprint, and you meet your goal in no time. (I couldn't win if not for sprints.)
