Quick concept notes on my current project. Not much of it might make sense.
I. The Mountibank
"if you see your future, you can change it."
concepts: juggler, sleight of hand.
definitions:
manipulated transformation
strength of will to change
determination of exposure.
notes:
rigid genuflection pose
crossed arms open hands
arcane gestures
one ball landing amoungst cups
two ended candle
two snakes
injured and bandaged arm
blood flow onto open math book
(four books of the tarot dismantled)?
misc: dynamic teal and amber side by side. (las vegas magic show)
II. The Priestess
"blind before the first mirror"
concepts:
definitions:
judgement of self.
the serenity of wisdom.
notes:
looking back.
one wrist binds the other.
one hand holds a fruit.
crescent moon
castle by the sea (intact and new*)
cross tattoo
roses

misc:
dark and pale

III. The Empress
"the beauty of motherhood"
concepts: pregnant woman. beautiful and deadly. loving and strict.
definitions:
the pleasure of abundance
delight in the beauty of satisfaction
birth of life, art, and business
good and bad of mothers
the demands of reality
notes:
crown and sceptre
12 stars
pregnant
fruitful
cornicopia
fruit tree
waterfall
rabbits
secret cave

pregnant beautiful clean
IV. The Emperor
"heavy is the crown"
concepts: a restless king labouring under the hard won fruits of his victory
definitions:
the stability of discipline
tradition. rigidity. leadership.
conservative authority
notes:
seated in a throne
bunted curtains
lion headed robe
giant sword
bored posture
judging gaze
ram's skulls
raven on globe
raven about to land on throne
starburst on throne back

V. The Heirophant
"obey without question"
concepts: a priest performs last rites over a burning kingdom.
definitions:
the formality of deception
naive obedience
military action disguised as religion
the great deceiver.
notes:
the pope holds benediction and blesses the burning destruction
of the court he serves
misc:
dark shades
pale blue
sky lights
fire and embers

VI. The Lovers
"the devil is necessary"
concepts: lovers in embrace, fire and chains and a massive
daemonic hand protects them.
definitions:
the passion of union
affinity and bonding
rmance and connection
notes:
lovers entertwines
(fighting?)
consumed within an inferno
(the devil's hand)
cobblestone wall sealing them
lush garden growing around them
opiate flowers? poppies calalillies, orchids?
two graves

VII. The Chariot
"victory or death"

a lion and a dragon chained to the same chariot
whipped into a frenzy by an armoured rider
leaving behind carnage.
